We just adore the new and improved kid sized ovens. We do not adore paying premium prices for teeny tiny mixes. We knew there had to be a solution! Check out Baking with Mommy Cookbook: Recipes for Kid-Size Ovens. Instead of shelling out big bucks for mixes, make your own fun miniature recipes. We can’t wait to serve up some mini monkey cookies or itsy bitsy spider cookies.

Discussing sex does not have to be awkward or uncomfortable. Joyce McFadden interviews women ages 18-105 in her book Your Daughter’s Bedroom: Insights for Raising Confident Women. She offers a ton of advice on navigating this difficult subject with daughters. As a mom, her biggest suggestion is to start talking early to children. She also suggests approaching the topics of love and sex openly and honestly. Much easier said than done! Love all the practical advice and tips.

Weird Al Yankovic is at it again! Just as much fun as his parodies, When I Grow Up is a fun book about an 8 year old boy with a big imagination. What ever will he be? A chef, snail trainer, lathe operator, gorilla masseuse, an artist whose preferred medium is chocolate mousse, sumo wrestler, pickle inspector…or a teacher? A little silly but fun for the elementary school crew.

Get ready for camping season with one of our favorite pigs. Olivia is back and she is going camping with Francine in Olivia Goes Camping. Bugs and dirt can be fun if Olivia is involved… can she convince Francine to let loose and get dirty?

Mommies are notorious for feeling guilty about everything! Now working mommies can at least explain why they go to work in the book Mommy Brings Home the Bacon. This book is a great way for children to understand why mommy works. Told from the perspective of a little boy with a mom who works, this sweet tale is perfect for any working mom.

Little girls are a lot of fun… navigating their sometimes unruly hair is not! In Cozy’s Complete Guide to Girls’ Hair, Cozy Friedman (a haircare expert) gives the inside scoop on girl’s hair. We love how the book starts from the beginning with a hair identification guide recommending the products, methods, and tools for each hair type. We also love that the book is full of photographs. From simple every day looks to complicated dressy dos, there is something for everyone in this fun book.

When we read a write up of Go the F**k to Sleep we would be lying if we said we were not intrigued. First off, let us firmly state this is NOT a book for tots! This bedtime book for parents is very tongue-in-cheek and would make a great gag gift for a dad at a baby shower or a new parents gift (as long as they have a sense of humor). Here is a sample verse:

The cats nestle close to their kittens now.
The lambs have laid down with the sheep.
You’re cozy and warm in your bed, my dear
Please go the f**k to sleep.

Do you have a student who loves numbers? You Can Count on Monsters is a children’s book that explains numbers through the use of geometrical monsters. There is a unique monster for each prime number and students will love trying to learn how each monster relates to his number. Math can be fun!

Are you excited about the royal wedding? Knit your very own Prince William, Kate Middleton, the Queen, Prince Harry, other members of the royal family, and even a cute little corgi and display them on the foldout of the Westminster Abbey for all to admire.
